Yes, he has fast hand and power and an aggressive style.

He also misses more punches than almost any other hot prospect in recent memory.

Woefully inaccurate, and when he does land it's often very slappy.

I don't like him and wish to stop hearing about him already...but sadly he's continue to get hyped, because he's going to continue to be spoon-fed soft opposition, if his next date is any indication. (not that Adjaho is terrible, but he's a clear enough level below and stylistically disadvantaged that Porter really ought to win "impressively").

Slapper with no heart and a glass jaw.

He will probably quit fights because of headbutts or fake injury, or just get ko'd cold.

What do you see in him, exactly?

It just seems strange to me that people cite his speed and power as the main reasons he excites them when there are always fast, heavy-handed prospects in almost every division and most are more accurate and punch with better technique than Porter.

He still has an amatuer style in that he doesnt sit down on his punches and he bounces too much. He has a ways to go if hes gonna compete with the big dogs.

He's got a way to go, and I'll expect to see him be upset when he finally steps up.

Probably switch trainers, come back down to earth without so much ego and become a good fighter.

I'm higher on Henry, Lara, Kirkland, and even Andrade as far as 154 lb prospects are concerned. Porter's a decent talent, though.

He gets a lot of respect for sparring with Manny, but he needs to make a name for himself.

Exactly. That's where all his shine comes from.

Where's the hype for Rashad Holloway?

You mean the same Rashad Holloway that looked GOD AWFUL versus Gato Figueroa and just lost to Dennis Laurente. It's amazing how people **** all over "Certain" fighters saying that they have been "spoon-fed" soft-opposition while failing to use this same standard of critique for other fighters. Porter is 17-0, but people thinks and want him to fight and beat ELITE-LEVEL BELT-HOLDERS in his first 5 fights. Where was this same outrage and criticism when Saul Alvarez, Antonin Decarie, Luis Collazo and Sergio Martinez beat fighters like Hector Munoz, Russell Jordan and Raul Pinzon. But Porter beats these same fighters within his first 17 fights....but that's just not good enough.:-(

Ricardo Torres had over 30 Pro Fights when he beat Pinzon, Alvarez was 22-0 when he beat Pinzon, Luis Collazo had over 30 Pro fights when he beat Russell Jordan and Sergio Martinez was 40-1-1 when he beat Jordan. So please.....everyone, post the links of your OUTRAGE when other fighter were "SPOON-FED" this same opposition as this Overrated Shawn Porter.

The ESB Pattern of "Standards" continues....

Oh, blow it out your ass you dumb mother****er.

Yeah, Porter is persecuted because he's black. OK. It has nothing to do with the fact that he does so much slapping and missing yet still gets crazy hype when he's accomplished nothing except serve as a gym buddy to one of the most popular figures in the sport.

Nobody ever hyped up anybody's wins over the likes of Pinzon or Jordan, you dumb agenda-pushing fact-twisting mother****er.

When the **** have you ever seen me or anybody else big up Antonin ****ing Decarie????:lol::lol:

The guy is only 17-0, yes - but he's also massively hyped and has shown absolutely nothing to justify it yet. If he's that good, we need to see it against someone who pose even a slight challenge...and guys like Anges ****ing Adjaho (who fought at super featherweight a couple of years ago...coming up to meet Porter who's weighed in as a middleweight) simply don't cut it. :hi:

Being Persecuted and being held to a "Higher Stanard" are two completely different things...but I am the Dumb Mother****er, Right?

So he has flaws....Ohhhhhhhhh Alert the Press. You mean he's the only fighter in all of Boxing with Flaws and/or a slappy puncher. There was a fighter from Wales who did the same thing. And he is a GOD on ESB.

Anges Adjaho was a replacement opponent...and where is criticism about David Lemieux, Oh wait....I WAS THE ONLY ONE ASKING WHY HE HASN'T STEPPED UP IN COMPETITION YET....And I was called Racist for doing so. But it's perfectly fine and acceptable for everyone else to do so about other fighters with less fights and less hype (Lemieux, Chavez Jr.) hell Edwin Valero was 27-0 and Demarco was the only decent fighter he beat....IN HIS LAST FIGHT!!!

    Again, The "Standard" continues....
