Vanes Martirosyan: I kicked Dzinziruk's ass in sparring

He'd knock Dzinziruk out but he's yet to fight a top 10 fighter in 28 pro fights? Someone in his team must heavily disagree.

Why would he be able to do to Dzinziruk what he didn't do to lesser fighters in Mike Medina, Billy Lyell, Kassim Ouma or Joe Greene?

 

I wasnt saying it like that. I should have put a question mark after the sentence. He said he'd knock him out which he wouldnt come close to doing Dzinziruk would have to try hard just to lose a round.

When I watched Martyrosian/Ouma I couldn't help but compare it to Taylor/Marquez and Pavlik/McKart. Very simlar situations except I Think Ouma was actually futrher past his best than Marquez or McKart. Taylor and Pavlik passed their tests with flying colors. I think Martyrosian failed his.

 

Martirosyan ****ing sucks ! he's grew a pair all of a sudden since he's got roach in his corner & what's the lad's biggest claim to fame ? 'beating' a shot Kassim Ouma ? Do any of you see him beating any other 154 Pounder in the ESB rankings ?

 

Even though Vanes is a local guy, i dont really care for him not impressed at all, in fact i thinmk a motivated Chavez JR could probably beat him. He talks like hes some proven top guy. IMO hes only a top 10 guy because the JM really lacks depth, Good names in the top 5 but very weak after that and thats where Vanes comes in.

Exactly. Werent they having a lil war of words and he ended up shutting up when Lara told him to step in the ring. I have not seen much of the kid but i still think Lara beats him and that just is because Lara could be one of the best boxers at the moment. He does need to step his level up though.

 

Very arrogant and unprofessional to gloat about a sparring session. Sparring is the place to iron out mistakes, its what he does in his fights that counts and as of now SD has done a lot more than this punk.

 

I read him saying this in Boxing News. I have never seen him fight but I'm choosing to not read into this very much. Danny Williams lied about knocking Herbie Hide out in sparring once. Apparently Hide used to regularly beat him up and got KD'd once by him, got up and really badly beat him up after getting up. I saw a video of Paul Spadafora really beating up Mayweather in sparring once but he never looked anywhere near as good in a fight. Eubank apparently got beaten up a lot by domestic level fighters in sparring as well but he was top class.
