Would you give Pac credit for beating Clottey?

Agreed....it seems Manny has differnet effects on his opponents but one thing seems to be common.....his oppoents always look like a shell of their usual selves when in there with manny.

 

this fight has no bearing on my prefight thoughts of him using PED's!

That fight was the biggest farce I have ever seen!! Clottey came to survive, he never at anypoint in the fight looked like he wanted to win. didnt use his strength or his size to his advantage, didnt spoil him or lean on him... just stood there with his hands up and took pacs shots for 12 rounds. didnt land a single meaningful punch, even the uppercuts were pushed through. Pacquiao looked like he was dancing around a big, 160lb punchbag for the whole night. Why didnt Clottey even try and win? What was his intentions?... To survive against Pacquiao? Oh my god, I feel so sorry for the people who had to pay for that ****!!... Just a workout for Pacquiao, who at no point in the fight shown any sign if tiredness or slowing down. What the fu.....? :bart

Had Clottey of the Cotto fight showed up and there had been a real fight and Manny came out on top we would give him lots of credit

what i am saying is manny fought a great fight that night deserving of credit but because of clotteys poor performance and unwillingness to engage no fan really talks up that win as anything special

See, this is truth right here. Now i know the Floydettes will come in here and skew the results but perception going into a fight saids a lot. And the poll results say it all. Cherry picking? Yeah, ok. How about taking on a tough challenge.

 

When asked why Mosley stopped punching, they say it's because of Mayweather's counter punches that kept Mosley from punching.

When asked why Clottey stopped punching, they say it's fixed.

Didn't you even ask yourself, maybe Clottey stopped punching because had he opened up, Manny could've finished him off.

Clottey came to survive and thus leaving people bitter who expected more from him, its not pacs fault though he fought good and easily dominated. Solid 147 win on his resume.

You're right, it doesn't prove anything. It just shows the poll results for the question at hand BEFORE the fight took place.
