I have to say McCloskey to. He is the best fighter of the 3 for me facing the more vulranable champion.
Is Bute really that good? I'd say Casey has the least chance by some distance, but they'll all give good accounts of themselves.
I can't see McGee giving Bute too much trouble base on each man's skill sets but Bute could underestimate him all the same. Rigondeaux won't underestimate Casey. Khan won't underesitmate Dudey but Dudey has skills that could confuse Khan somewhat. I give McCloskey the best chance then Casey. Magee is not outmatched but fighting Bute in Canada he has to win by stoppage and that is unlikely. Casey should change the game plan for 3/4 rounds at the start. Hold back and get on his bike or feign injury or something that might lure Rigondeaux into striking range. Rigo has been put down by Cordoba so you never know for sure. seems as though most people think Casey will be taken out in 2 rounds! I disssagree.
I don't know a terrible deal about him - he's supposed to be good but apparently relatively untested but no one appears to give Magee much a chance. Magee is well experienced and I reckon that the gap in class between Magee and Bute is a lot closer than Casey and Rigo
yeah, I'm going to have a punt on him when I get over there, only getting odds of 9/2 in dublin at the moment. I reckon casey has little more than a punchers chance but best of luck to him - I'll be rooting for him all the way.
Magee has the toughest ask in terms of being away from home. Bute is good, him against Froch and Ward would be 50-50s. He is the level above a Ricky Burns type would champ but bellow the Pacuqiao, Mayweather prime Cotto level if you no what I mean. I'd certainly be wanting a look at the bank statements of that particular referee, that was disgraceful. Doing his best to stop Andrade hitting Bute then the farce with the 30 second count. I've seen an extended version of that vid showing Bute fall over towards the other corner too. Froch would murder him, as would Ward.
I think Casey has the best chance and that's purely down to home advantage. Anything can happen when fighting this far away from home. He could pick up an illness but still fight, be tired from travelling or have all sorts of disruptions. Still Rigondeaux's a special talent and although I think Willie Casey might trouble him a bit early on, I can't see him not winning in the end. McCloskey is a good opponent for Amir Khan and I'm glad that's the fight that's happening. However I really don't see how he can win. I've seen quite a bit of Paul and he's good. But I don't see him being able to frustrate Khan enough to get much out of the fight other than a 10/11 round beating. As for Magee going to Canada, good luck. Bute gets everything his own way in Canada and whilst he's definitely being overrated due to good promotion and a lack of decent fights, he's still a pretty good boxer and appears to be getting better all the time. I see Bute stopping him in the middle rounds. So in short.. none of them. That's why they're all big underdogs. Good luck to em all, would be nice to see one of them pull off an upset.
