ATG list are bull****. I hate those ratings. EVERYONES list will look different. Theres simply too many fighters to judge. Only way one fighter is garanteed on the ATG list is by being something special. Like Pacman, Hearns, Ali, etc. Those fighters we will never see another. We will never see a a harder and crsiper right hand than Hearns. We will never see a fast everything and fight hungry fighter like Pacman. We will never see another HW dominate like Ali. We will never see another killer mentiality/left hook like Tito. Etc.

Whitaker hes up there, but where do I rank him? Idk...how about high?

I don't think that's so. Anyway, in the 20-30 range, for me. I do have an actual list. That's where he's at in it.

Just inside the top 10 and no lower than 15. Im not even a Pernell fan but i acknowledge that hes an Elite atg and the best defensive fighter ive ever seen.

Around place 20/25 I guess... So many good boxers in the past, hard to make an accurate list.

And regarding your name... Above Floyd! :deal

When you speak or talk of Pernell Whitaker you must remember in his prime he couldnt be touched. Lefty who could fight any style and had a great left jab and sneaky power. Ive not seen much of willie pep but not even Floyd was this elusive. Pernell faced the same tirade as FLOYD and Roy Jones and that being he was too skilled and he fought in a pretty style not an all out attack style like Pac but a measured countered style that lets you keep your facilities long after you leave the ring. Meldrick taylor had great speed but look at him after the Chavez fight. Thats the difference between FLOYD, PERNELL and other guys with speed. Defense makes your career last long and you frustrate your opponent and makes him run into shots.

In my book I would rate Pernell in the top five of all time not behind anyone but I would say right beside ALI, Robinson, Armstrong, Burley and Mayweather.

I put him at the top ten of LW. He stopped I believe once for a fight at 140 and then moved up to 147. His best was at 135.
