Schaefer offered Mosley and Marquez for Floyd for his comeback and Floyd chose JMM. It's irrelevant whether he though he had a realistic chance - of course he did - with the kind of money on the able, Marquez was always going to sign. You can't blame him, a huge money fight vs. the P4P king (at the time Floyd walk away).

Do you seriously believe what you've wrote there?

Like Floyd himself said, the JMM bout was like a Daddy play-fighting with his son.

Yes, the appropriate response to this is the fight scene from "Undefeatable".

Slow down there, the greatest fighters of all time don't make careers based of two matches they failed to win :deal

The real question is - what is there to lose?? He gained a nice purse, got even more exposed in the limelight with Mayweather, and looked like the small guy with a big heart despite being outclassed. There was the small chance Mayweather had gone in the fight unprepared and had JMM capitalized and won, it would've been HUGE. It was like taking advantage of a free lottery ticket. It wasn't like JMM was in any real danger of getting brutally KO'd as Floyd isn't known for his punching power. None of JMM's supporters as well as neutral boxing fans take anything away from Marquez after he lost to Floyd. Only detractors willfully see negativity in JMM's decision to fight Floyd.

Last time i checked mosley received a bigger beating than marquez. Mosley is a much bigger man and has been at the division longer. Hatton also got his ass knocked the **** out something that didn't happen to marquez.

if you want to quote floyd also said he tried to knock marquez out.:deal

The fight took place at 147 and marquez didn't get knocked out like ricky hatton, he also didn't receive the beating a much bigger shane mosley took at the hands of floyd.:deal
