Does Chisora's fight against Wlad count for Lonsdale belt?

I know to keep your Lonsdale belt that you have to win it, then defend it three times.

Chisora won it and has only had one defense.

If he loses to Wlad, does that mean he's out of the Lonsdale or does the Wlad fight not count because Wlad is not a Brit?

Won't count will need to defend it or win it another time.

On a side note, I was really impressed with how well Cleverly defended his British title against that Italian bloke Brancallion last year

No, it doesn't count. I have a different question though. I'm no boxing historian, but does anyone know if there has ever been a world title fight between two Brits in which the British title was also on the line? :think

Strangely enough, I was thinking the exact same thing on the way to work this morning. Mostly how awesome it would be: Bellew vs Cleverly - British, European and World title unification on a bumper 2011 ppv.

But I'm pretty sure if you fight for a 'world' title then you must vacate any 'lesser' title

The reason I asked is I was hoping this loss won't ruin Chisora's chances of keeping his Lonsdale belt.

I know Wlad obviously can't be the British Champion, because he's not a Brit.
