David Haye is like the Hulk Hogan of british boxing

    Real talk.

    Hulk was all style over substance, but the casual wrestling fans loved him, so he got the most hype and money and popularity.

    Carl Froch is more like Ricky Steamboat, or Randy Savage, in many ways the superior guy to Haye.

    but he will never make as much money or be as popular.

    Well Hulk bought the masses in because he was charismatic, larger than life, and was willing to put the work in to become a star. His rise to fame in America was pretty incredible, and he really rode on the crest of a new ethos in American culture to become an icon to millions of people, predominately children.

    Judging by the sort of people who post on the General, Manny Pac is more the Hulk Hogan of boxing.

    Froch would probably be someone like Bret Hart. A hard worker, not especially flashy, but with strong moral values, but who loses out in the popularity stakes to a more charismatic man, a showman. That being Shawn Michaels, which makes Haye the HBK of boxing.

    And the Hulkster of boxing is Pac.

    Mayweather reminds me of Goldberg (not style-wise) a guy who blitzed his way through the competition then quit and took all the money, showing no love for the sport.

    Superior to David Haye..? Carl Froch..?

    Boxing wise, skill wise, technically and physically David Haye is by far more talented than Carl Froch. David Haye at heavyweight is faster than Carl Froch at Middle Weight, David Haye is by far the superior fighter hands down.

    And if he wanted to, he could fight Carl Froch at a Catch Weight of 190pounds.
