Do Scientologist whack jobs even celebrate Christmas? Any movie where his character doesn't die during the opening credits is a tragedy. (No, I've never seen him act, just viewed brief clips of his interview lunacy.)

What the HELL happened to Gael Garcia Bernal? I'm pretty sure he was the lead option to play Duran. Great at adapting different Spanish accents, really good actor at portraying emotion and getting into character, and he could look the part.

Cruise could definitely do it ... he's actually very fast and athletic although he's a bit old these days ... of course finding the right unknown would be better but first off you have to get the film made and to do so having a star is huge ...

I don't know about Cruise playing a man as vicious as Duran. I think that actor who played 'Peoples' in the Sam Jackson version of Shaft could pull off Duran. He has a lot of range as an actor.

Cruise would be terrible as Duran. He is also near 50 years old now isn't he? I am sure they will cast Duran well. It might not be a top top actor, but it will be someone good.
