One of my friends a very experienced trainer did pad work with him and he said that he was the hardest hitting fighter he ever worked with ever and in contrast he said Chavez had average power.
I love roger, and what some people dont understand is that he is actually a cool guy. I remember in a 247 one time, he was talking about floyd sr and floyds relationship, that was real talk and as funny as hell...that was a great moment.
if i was the president of a network....one of my first orders of business would be to get rog his own reality show......even if it tanked...and me and my friends were the only ones who watched it...itd be well worth it also....can you imagine if current day roger had filled in for aresnio hall for a week while he was on vacation?
I am not sure I like his comments in recent times since he just seems interested in getting attention, but I liked his fighting. His right hand was one of the best at 130-140 and he had a decent jab. A very underrated fighter. If I trained a fighter in the years Roger was fighting, I would have tried to keep my fighter away from fighting Roger. That right hand was quick and sharp. If a fighter was not good, he would not beat Roger.
