(shaking head) Berto is all hype. He is an Al Haymon Ent hyped fighter, he is the biggest paper champion in boxing. As for Ortiz, he is a bum that has proven to be a quitter. Winner is Golden Boy & Al Haymon, TRASH!
berto will rip ortiz s heart out out of his chest and shove it in his face i hope im wrong but i can see ortiz looking up at the ref waiting for the count to finish before standing back up..
Both fighters are damn-good athletes with speed and pop....But most importantly, both gets hit WAY TOO MUCH. Although Berto has been fighting at WW, Ortiz has 13 fights in which he weighed-in over the 140lbs (Jr. WW) limit and he taller, with a longer reach, so the Idea and Ridiculously Idiot belief that Berto is fighting a smaller fighter is just really ABSURD...really it is!!!! Berto just fought 3 straight southpaws in a row...all former Belt-Holders (but according to some posters, they were all bums)...And they All did something well, Collazo was a slick Boxer, Urango was a slugger and Quintana was a crafty vet. But Ortiz, does several things just as good...and maybe a bit better. He as not as slick as Collazo, but he boxes very well, not as strong as Urango, but a better more technically gifted puncher and does not waste punches like Urango. And Ortiz is not as crafty as Quintana, but he is Far Faster. I can't belive that both fighters agreed to this fight...Damn this is a Dangerous fight for Both Fighters. It's a smart fight for the people around the camps...two well known names/fighter waiting to "turn the corner" in the sport. Both have had several previous fights on HBO, so they have name recognition, even with the casual fans....So you know there was a nice "Chunck of Change" on the table for this fight. Most experts favors Berto...but as the old saying goes: "If you can Punch, You have a Chance" Good Fight...Can't Wait.
I think Berto wins. He gives Ortiz flash-backs of the Maidana fight. Hope I'm wrong though. I've always liked Ortiz.
I think Berto stops him within 3. I think Ortiz will start off well winning the first round but once Berto connects once or twice I think Ortiz will begin to back away and Berto will get him out of there in round 3.
Berto is fighting a Junior Welter moving up to Welter. Get over it. You can't defend someone like Berto... he needs to step up his game.
I'm not the biggest fan of Berto, but let's be honest here, Ortiz has been a WW that's been draining himself to JWW for quite a few fights. In regards to sizes and weights, the two are evenly matched.
