There was a thread on this fight a few weeks ago.
And then some guy tried to defend it, with that Tyson also fought "tomato cans" at the start of his career (forgetting that Tyson fought a class higher opponents from the start and was a beltholder after only 2 years). :patsch

Deontay is never going to step up it seems, he's a can crusher nothing more.

Deontay Wilder faces such crap competition, never looked particularly great doing it either. I don't get what people see in him.

I know they've got to take it slow, but this gentlemen they're putting Mr. Wilder in against now is an insult to the canned nightshade products produced by Hunt's and Del Monte.

I don't think Wilder is going to take any major step up as long as he still has his ko streak going. Its good marketing to say he's won all his fights by ko even if its against poor competition. It won't really help his development since he needs rounds and he's not getting any this way. Having said that, I think his current opponent is a step up. Abron might not be much but he's better than the guys Wilder has been facing but he really needs to start facing a better class of fighters before he stalls at this level. He doesn't need to face contenders at all but he needs some quality rounds instead of simply knocking everyone out without being tested.

Well if you look at his opponents, then it is not a surprise that he is still undefeated.
BTW. Nice to see him fight again. He need to win on KO on saturday.
But i still think he needs 15 fights before getting a title shot or eliminator.

What do you think? 15 fights more, then he will be 30-0 (hopefully) and ready for the title?

He has been boxing for FIVE YEARS.....

Give the guy a break. He is 23 years old. This is basically his amatuer career.
