Hell yeah I cant wait... the undercard should be good as well!

 

Donaire can hit on the move and this is advantage he is quick to react and can counter punch in the heat of battle.I don't like the way Donaire jabs and leave it out there or drops it.I see Montiel step into his jab and land a right or come with the left hook to the body or head. But Donaire advantage is he can hit going back with a counter left hook so every time Montiel goes in he gets hit. But Donaire does get hit when he leaves his jab out there or drops his hand.Donaire is good at slipping punches and landing ducking and weaving at the same time.

Montiel is not a volume puncher he picks his shots and very clever but can be predictable though.Nonito figures him out it could be a difficult.Runaires moment of truth,and we'll see what he's got.Nonaire is stronger and quicker with the added muscle but ummm you never know Montiel could be too strong.The chin and heart, stamina and will factor will get a thorough check this is where Montiel experience and power edge has the major advantage.

As far as past opponents both fighters fought common opponents but at different weights, hasegawa is a solid fighter not the greatest.Concepcion and Maldanado fought Runaire and Donaire was given solid work out at those fight at 115, where Runair looks like a twig with shot legs. Montiel destroyed these BOXERS with ease which demonstrates the power edge obviously that the Mexican has over Donaire.

I am giving a reasonable non bias prediction and pick Montiel to get outboxed early and still look dangerous early but when Nonito starts to get tired and is not as sharp specially on the defensive side.I see Fernando land a show stopping PUNCH.

Hasegawa vs montiel is a bit lackluster compared to Vic vs Donaire it seems.

For all the hype surrounding this fight, I really think that this will not be the FOTY simply because someone is going down in the mid rounds. My guess it will be Montiel. I expect Donaire to dominate from the opening round and box beautifully.

 

Donaire takes this in the later rounds. Respect to Monitel though, I just think Nonito will prove to be too much.

Its so hard to make up my mind on this. I have been changing my prediction every day this week.
Its still Donaire UD or Montiel TKO.

another thing i just read about is that Donaire has been having family problems. Thats usually a big problem for a fight. Nothing affects you more than your family. However Robert has said Donaire will box safely which pretty much nullifyes Montiel and Montiel can be his worst enemy when an opponent takes that route with him.

Mentally i think Montiel is in it more. Physically i think Donaire holds the key attributes to take it.

DAmn it!! i dont even think i should bet on this one. Maybe i will just bet on the fights tonight and the Jones-Sotokarass fight and leave it at taht.

yeah it can be a potential foty but don't get your hopes too high . . . sure they said they'll be going at it but both are known to wait for their opponent to react (Donaire is a counter puncher) . .. so maybe there will or will not be a lot of action if they both play the waiting game . . .
