I pick Tua to blast out Cooney in 2 or 3.

Tua by TKO easily. Two huge power punchers. One with a bad chin, one with a good one. It's as simple as that.

If this turns into an early exchange, then Tua wins it big and in devastating fashion... On the other hand, if Cooney opts to use his reach and box, which he occasionally had the tendency to do, it could be interesting.

Tua had the better chin but how many people did he fight that could hook like Gerry.....One punch could end this fight and both men could be hit....exciting while it lasts and both men were not Class-A- fighters

I think Cooney's huge reach and good speed gets to Tua before Tua gets to him, Cooney, early KO

Tua's chin helps him survive Cooney's hook, and David comes back from some terrifying moments to take an 8th round stoppage.

Nobody's knocking out prime Tua. His first time touching the canvas was last year.

Anyway, Tua stops Cooney. Could be early or it could be late, depending on if Tua is lazy or not on that particular day.

Yep, I can't see any other outcome than that.

The same Tua that beat the sh&t out of John Ruiz knocks out Cooney very easily.

I assume Tua by decision in a boring, one-sided jabfest with a lot of lateral movement from both fighters.

I'll throw this in: cooney didn't have the worst jab against holmes and holmes had one of the best. he wasn't winning or outboxing him by any means but if gerry can show the same form and show a little more poise, i could see him outjabbing tua to death. i love tua, i do but he was a **** boxer. GREAT hitter, but **** mover, **** boxer, **** at cutting off the ring, etc.

Gerry's chin is such a liability that it's hard not to favor Tua in this one. Gerry has a chance but Tua's left could end the night early.

There are a number of possible outcomes here.

That one is , IMHO, the least likely.

If Tua doesn't catch Cooney early with something big, Prime Cooney outpoints him fairly easily, and if the shorter fellow gets careless, he might suffer his first KO.
