Round 4

Young lands an uppercut while getting backed up. Wade comes forward and lets his hands go. Wade lands a right uppercut to the gonads. Young is given a minute to recover but the ref admonishes his corner for sneaking instructions in during that minute. Wade starts wailing on Young with straight shots, 1-2-1-2-1-2. Young separates his hands to punch back and is caught flush with a hard right hand to the grill. Wade is warned for a forearm thrust in the face very sternly and told he'll be disqualified if it happens again. Wade turns his head and slips and blocks a few punches on the inside, then lands a very powerfully thrown left hook to the ear that bends Young over partially. Wade keeps throwing at Young and gets him up against the ropes, but doesn't get a chance to exploit the position as the bell sounds the end of the 4-rounder.

Clear win for Wade, so my general disdain toward and reluctance to score even rounds (which honestly is all you could call the 1st) winds up not mattering.

 

Skill-wise he isnt much better than the journeyman opponent.

...You know...I always wanted to see a southpaw in 3-D, IB. Kaplow! Fazam!

I think he proved to have considerably better skills (not to mention trigger instincts) than Young...who was himself an unbeaten and therefore can't really be called a journeyman (yet).

That said, yeah - Wade probably isn't someone who's going to threaten Bute or the Super Six alum at any point. :yep

Porter wasn't as dominant and didn't have the power I expected. He's going to have to fix that if he wants to compete at a higher level.

Wade was putting some good shots together. Thought he might get dude out of there, but the guy was tough and ate some big shots.

Hope the main event has as much action as the second fight!

i think findley gives a better showing than people think. i think guerrero is overrated.
