He's probably the only legitimate threat to Anderson Silva. He's a ****in monster and looks unstoppable. They need to bring him on asap.

I like Hector a lot, but I think Anderson would likely destroy him. Hector has been destroying pretty weak competition.

I'd much rather see Anderson/Jacare. But I think they train together, and you know how that is when it comes to Anderson.

Yea but its.not really his fault Bellator doesn't have the competition. I think his destruction would follow through nice in the ufc.

Lombard is quality, but he'll never get the recognition unless he goes to a bigger show, preferably the UFC.

Hector Lombard doesnt have to join the ufc to find good middleweight opponents. Their are a few out their for him, but for exposer purposes and money he might as well join zuffa got to pay the bills after all.

Black belt in BJJ and Judo but 14 ko's and only 6 subs I think it is. He's been winning alot, other than Barnett apparently beating him up in sparring :)

UFC always argue that so and so isn't proven i.e. Eddie Alvarez but they best fighters are in the UFC and SF and Dream. Somebody has to give them the chance to step up.

I would like to see Lombard fight whichever org he fights for. I think his skills are top notch.

Achillies where did you hear that he sparred with Josh Barnett?

    Lombard says different:

FF: So let’s get into something a little more, perhaps… a touchy topic, tell me about the Josh Barnett saga, what happened, what was said, tell us from your perspective because we’ve seen all the videos where Eric Paulson gives his perspective, what do you want to say about what happened?
H: Here’s what happened. We were sparring hard for a while maybe 55 mins, in short I broke his nose, his will, his heart, his everything and he gave up. Look, we were sparring and then he just didn’t want to spar anymore, he just left. Then another time after that I was sparring with a few guys like Babalu, I’d sparred about 7 guys that session and in comes Josh Barnett at the end and he just jumped in hard and took me down and wouldn’t let me up, the way I see it is, I’d sparred 7 guys, I was tired and here he comes in trying to be the hero by taking me down at the end of a session. So I said ok let me up and let me get ready and we’ll go again. But he didn’t want that. So I got up and pushed him and picked him up and put him on the ground and started to ground and pound him. He just said no more and again walked out.

FF: I see so what about the Eric Paulson video interview, how do you feel about that?
H: That’s another problem; Eric Paulson did this video interview and all I can say is why are you lying?

FF: What about when Eric says he was following you guys with a mop and bucket mopping up the blood as both of you were bleeding?
H: First of all I never bleed so that’s a total lie; he was cleaning up after Josh. Eric Paulson takes sides, he’s always favoured Josh in this instance and I know otherwise, I know Eric was always complaining about Josh.

FF: Have you spoken to Eric?
H: Yeah I asked him, “Why are you lying when you know that’s not what happened?” – He said “hey I’m really sorry but I can’t take sides with you, plus you’ve left the gym.” I just know it’s all been a weird vibe from day one there.

FF: You called Josh Barnett out at a recent fight and we know you guys are different weight divisions, which makes it harder to execute, do you think it will ever happen?
H: Well I don’t know but yes I called him out and if the opportunity ever came up I would never be a hypocrite – I would follow through on my word.

FF: And what about leaving the gym CSW?
H: I left the gym for a few reasons, I felt like Eric Paulson was never there and I didn’t feel supported and with all the incidents and everything, it didn’t feel like the right place to be there anymore, and then after all that drama he tried to talk to me like were best friends.

They boxed and went hard but then Josh came back and grappled him and let him know who is boss. Hector says it is different and put him down after not being let up.
