That Charr dude is not showing anything against an opponent with 18 losses. Amateur boxing 101.

    Round 2

Pasi continues to run, run, run and lands a few body shots on the way by. Charr keeps trying to head him off and trap him in a corner. Charr is using his feet to keep up but not letting his hands go much, seeming to want to wait until he can tee off on a stationary target. When Charr does hook or torpedo a right it rocks Pasi even when blocked. Charr gallops after Pasi and lands an uppercut, using his momentum. Pasi stands in the pocket and leans his shoulder into Charr, trying to shoeshine down low. Charr slaps with a wild right hand, extending it to its full wingspan, blocked. Charr starts putting more punches together, and finished off with a powerful but partially blocked leaping hook.

    Charr 20-18

    Jeeves decides to be tactful.

"If you're just joining us, Pasi is in the black trunks with the red trim".

It might be a bit easier to just say "the little black guy getting pasted", no? :yep

    Round 3

Charr holds his left forearm out to prevent Pasi from leaning against him, and whacks away with his right hand. Pasi seems to not have the legs to run, and tries to force his way past the forearm with both of his turned vertically in front of him to lean against Charr and work the body. Charr throws a 1-2 and then a left hook followed by a hooking right. Everything just grazes the top of Pasi's head but damage is being done (and points scored) even without Charr connecting anything too cleanly.

    Round 4

Pasi is blocking at mid-range, and then moving inside when Charr finishes his barrages and leaning his head into him to land body shots. On the way in and out of his leanings Pasi is letting high combos go, and Charr doesn't even bother defending as Pasi's pop doesn't concern him in the least. Charr keeps jabbing to stay focused on Pasi's moving head. Nice uppercut by Charr and he whips the right arm around with a followup overhand. Pasi is hurt by a flush right against the ropes but the round ends.

Pasi actually landed more that round, despite Charr getting close to a KO near the end.

    39-37 Charr

About half a dozen of Wlad's fights have been in Stuttgart (the last one nine years ago) but he's never worked the Porsche Arena.

    Round 5

Pasi is sliding along the ropes, blocking and slipping. Charr is banging away at his guard and trying to simply bash him down. It is like watching in slow-motion, given Pasi's lack of legs and Charr's poor hand speed. Pasi takes a knee. He gets up with thirty seconds in the round. Charr suddenly becomes vicious, and lands several jabs to set up a hard right hand. Pasi goes down again, this time involuntarily. He leans sitting against the bottom rope and watches the ref get to about seven before pushing himself up but the corner vetoes his decision to go on.

Charr walks over and raises Pasi's hand, parading him around like a kid brother and demanding that the crowd show respect to him.

Running and quitting time. They said Charr was extremely impressive. I didn't see that. Euro Level boxing at its finest.

    He's always been so-so, IMO.

This was a less than average performance, but Pasi was pulling a Kevin Johnson/Andre Dirrell for most of those rounds.

Pure slugfests are where Charr will usually shine. He's sort of like fellow-German based fighter Marco Huck in that regard.
