Round 6 Sturm walks Hearns down with his jab and then finally unloads with a flurry as Hearns is caught against the ropes. Hearns uses his long body to twist back and away from a lot of these shots but is being shut down offensively. Sturm keeps him at the end of his jab. NICE right hand by Sturm as Hearns is again on the ropes. Sturm follows with consistently landing jabs and AGAIN lands a beaut of a right cross, again with Hearns nearly backed up to the ropes. Sturm has a right hand lead deflected by a stray flick of the arm from Hearns, but Sturm gets a short hook in there. Hearns is backed into a corner, and slides his way out laterally and lands a nice left hook to the body. Hearns loads up and misses a wild shot and gets countered. 59-55 Sturm
hearns needs to do something about that felix sturm jab landing everytime, he is coming forward with babysteps why not throw some uppercuts at the guy and move your head more.
Sturm's precision punching was beautiful in that round. Hearn's defense is lacking and Sturm is clocking him with some big shots now.
It is worth noting that Sturm does have pretty well above average timing. He also isn't feather fisted despite perceptions (not a monstrous puncher, but not feather fisted)...he just doesn't care to finish.
