    You can't deny that he has improved, also in terms of punching power. Even though I understand why he hasn't lots of fans on ESB, he has worked hard and is a tough fight for everyone in the MW division. I'm not saying he's unbeatable, but to think that Pirog or Martinez could win with ease against this guy is just not very realistic. He has a brilliant jab and is always in perfect shape - don't underestimate him.

    Nobody says sturm is bad but he is not stepping it up while he is the champ why not go fight some top guys instead of guys ike ronald hearns. I do believe martinez would easily 8-4 9-3 decision him.

    I agree with all that so why is he fighting the likes of Ronald Hearn, was he even top 30 in anybodys list? Sturm hand picks every opponent and is making good money without breaking a sweat.

    Because he makes easy and very good money fighting bums. I´d love teo see him take on the better fighters at mw, IMO he´s at worst 50/50 against them. Probably won´t happen until he is forced too or the money is very, very good.

    Let´s see how Martinez deals with a smaller version of Sturm with Dzinziruk before we make any assumptions.

    how much money does he make with these fights? and do most Germans consider them great match up or do they think he should step it up as well?
    It seems he always draws a big crowd to his fights and the people like him.
