Round 7

Melligen comes forward and lands some left uppercuts to the body and right jabs between the eyes. Martinez is hurt by a left! Melligen goes off on him. Martinez backs away, defending himself with rubbery legs. Martinez fires back with a right. Melligen comes at him aggressively and goes high and wide right with a jab. Martinez lands a nice lead right as Melligen comes at him without punching. Melligen is back to the uppercut on his way in. Another solid lead left hurts Martinez again. Melligen goes to the body with a low-crouching left arm poke.

Round 8

Melligen is blasting Martinez with jabs and left hands, coming forward and high-blocking independently with either arm depending on which hand Martinez is throwing (and telegraphing). Martinez comes forward with combos and does land a couple of right hands in between misses. Melligen stands back at mid-range and taps Martinez on the nose with his jab. Martinez comes forward and lands a hard right hand on the unmoving head of Melligen. Martinez charges and then spins away at the last second to avoid a combo from Melligen, then misses his own 1-2.

Round 9

Martinez comes out guns blazing and hurts Melligen with a right hand!!!! Martinez is going nuts! Melligen is rocked to the ropes. Martinez windmills at him until they come together and are warned to watch the heads. Martinez stalks and pressures Melligen around, throwing a ton of rights but a bit more controlled now. Melligen catches him with a left. Martinez goes crazy again and starts windmilling his way forward with Melligen timing his rushes by just leaning back and popping off straight lefts. Martinez forces him to stand and fight and keeps working the right hand.

Round 10

Martinez lands a good right, but Melligen is still unimpressed even after having tasted the full extent of Martinez's power last round, and stays in close throwing accurate right jabs and straight lefts. Martinez seems to have emptied the chamber and is just watching Melligen rather than give him openings. Martinez is still following and throwing a few rights but with very long breaks in between. Martinez is hurt and Melligen bends his knees and slides around to either side of him whipping him with right hooks.
