**** what they get paid. Money don`t make a fight. The guy at the bar at 3 am isn't getting paid **** and he puts on a good enough show. **** these high price boxers these days. If they don`t want to tangle we can always go down to some tiajuna back allie and find two SOBs willing to do it for free.....only problem is that one guys probably going to get shanked by the end of it....better to have the 7 second delay in effect....

They're also fighting at 118 which is anything but a prestige division.

 

True enough but damn this sport has really hit a snag the last couple of decades in terms of proportionate pay. Theres just no demand out there.

I mean if you total the whole pay for show tonight (undercard included), it wouldnt come close to what UFC or even Strikeforce can pay for any random show.

 

Exactly! And the flip side of this is that HBO would actually have money to pay these guys to fight 3-4 times a year. Which frankly is the biggest problem with boxing right now. Its easy to let a sport fall out of relavence when you got to wait two months between cards on the premium broadcast channels that show the sport. If there were more little guy fights like this spread in between bigger guys like pascal and hopkins knocking eachother's heads off then **** there'd be twice as much opportunity to pump the sport to the general sports audience.

Plus most guys in professional sports make like just over a mil anyways so these are pretty fair prices.

 

i think they're underpaid considering their status, both are top 10 £4£ worthy.

Certainly after the sensational victory Donaire stock will rise and eventually prob get to the £1million payday fights which i think he is worthy of.

Montiel is special too, just got caught thats all.

Fraudley Harrison, Andre Butthole definitly got some good manager'$.

Fighters have managers, they have promoters . . . once they sign the contract, that means the fighters agreed on all terms including the money.

I just love the action . . . I don't care how much they get. We fans doesn't get any part of it anyway. :deal
