I did expect Donaire to win but this was something else.

Still really love to see him in with the winner of Agbeko-Mares.

I'm not sure what to make of Montiel's reaction to the blow. At first I thought he was going into convulsions. But after he was able to get up and somewhat steady himself, I almost got the feeling that the reaction was more of a tantrum. Perhaps it was a combination of both. Either that or Montiel has an amazing recovery ability to go from a mild seizure to somewhat steady in a mere moment.

Donaire really has perfected the counter hook with his timing and precision. And to think he's been able to carry his power up without any speed compromise is a testament to his P4P ascension.

Montiel really left himself open for that punch and what a counter by Donaire. Donaire has quick reflexes..

 

Antwuan can you make a gif of that jab that Donaire slipped and counter with a left hook from under Montiel's arm. Very unorthodox counter, amazing really.
