Montiel is a classy guy and a warrior. In general (there will always be trolls naturally) I think Pinoy's respect those traits. If anything, there are a lot pinoys who don't respond well to Donaire's more arrogant side and ended up rooting for Montiel
How to seperate the *******s from the Pinoys *******s post **** like this http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=290588
I don't think he's arrogant, I just he's just finally striking out on his own and being his own man, its sad that his family is using him like that. Now Amir Khan, as much as I love him as a boxer is arrogant. I like montiel very much, I just think donaire is overpowered for this division, he is gonna clean up. No shame in his loss tonight, I just hope he is okay physically and emotionally.
I wasnt gonna cry but I felt very sad seeing Montiel in convulsions like that. After following his career for so long and seeing him beat the odds time and time again it was surreal seeing him like that. Montiel is a bonafide Hall of Famer but Donaire is a special fighter and tonight was his night.
Yeah, i dont understand that part, It's like our countrymen want somebody just like Pac, humble and always prays for his opponents and his safety. I kinda like Nonito having a bit more personality. Gives a different flavor for me.:good
Montiel will always be a warrior. I only gave 60% chance to win. Damn i was shaking when this fight started not knowing how Nonito would win against him. Respect begets respect brother.
