That left hook came from his legs and went all the way out!!!

Kid has some torque.

 

It was a hard punch. It left a dent on Montiel's right side area between the eye and ear.

i just hope its not another 3 years before someone will get in the ring with this kid, I like how ross greenburg wants nonito to move up in weight to fight other HBO stars-like lopez and gamboa and not the showtime stars mares/perez and so forth. I love it when fighters clean out a division, especially when its filled with talent

I was watching with my daughter (well, not really...she just came in the room and started bothering me as usual), and even her - a 5 year old - noticed the damage to the side of Montiel's face and said "look at his bwooose (bruise) daddy!"

 

Is it possible this punch marked/dented it?

@ 5:45+ you can see Montiel has a very noticeable mark on his face.

 

Very possible... see that punch he landed on the pad at 0:55 of that vid? That is exactly about as hard as he hit poor Fernando.
