I thought McDermott would have too much for Olibamiwo. Whilst I though he lost both times to Williams he certainly took the bull by the horns here and just went after someone who was too inexperienced. He finished the fight well and I hope that after WALDO - Chisora is done and dusted, he can get his shot at a British title.

This is why we all love the sport of boxing. Man gets done over by dodgy decisions and comes back as an underdog and ko's the ****er!!! Brilliant. Well pleased for the big man.

Brillant. Wonder who Larry will blame for this fight? Or will he just admit he is ****...I want a Peret rematch.

Well done John. Boxing needs more characters like John who are experienced and tough.

Great win last night, but I'd like to see McDermott in better shape. If he wants to progress his career beyond the domestic level that is.

Agreed but it's his career, as long as he turns up and fights hard I will give him credit. It's not as if he has ever been in shape and gotten fat later on unlike Arreola and Solis who started in good shape but then turned fat overnight, maybe John finds it hard to get cut always seems in decent condition.

Great result for McDermott. After last night I wouldnt be surprised to see Fury-McDermott 3.
I think it would generate interest & Chisora wont be fighting before the summer.

Good result but it really does my head in when i see big fat guys stepping into the ring, makes people think that Boxing is easy. I know it doesn't matter if you're shredded as proved by McDermott but at least look like you have been in the gym.
