it's this sort of small-mindedness that flies in the face of what you tell me in PM.

one part of you sounds civil and practical, but this other side that keeps coming up that can't help but be pettyand small-minded really lets you down.

You were putting words in my mouth as it is you who mentioned Calzaghe and Hopkins not me.

This thread is about Jones, can you answer the questions or not?

Whats small minded? The post is about Jones no one else and I could have really corrected that completely wrong poster but its not the thread for that as this post IS ABOUT JONES JNR.

Now can you answer the questions or not?

that's because i know you only go on a crusade about jones and hopkins because of your 'allegiance' to calzaghe.

remember - it was you who told me that you don't have this allegiance, but you're only saying that and not meaning it and you know it too.

that's the part of you that 'worries' me because sometimes you sound sincere and other times you are in complete denial and can't help being petty with people just because they don't 'see the world' like you want it to be.

you have 'emperor's new clothes syndrome'

Who cares about titles, he was a great fighter. But you are right, that Michalczewski was the man at LHW - lineal and almost undisputted (WBO, WBA, IBF).

THE THREAD IS ABOUT JONES. You are trying to second guess me and not very well either. THE THREAD IS ABOUT JONES.

Now can I take it that you cant answer the questions on Jones career?

i can answer any question if you'll admit that you discrediting jones is in line with your desire to have joe's career seen in a better light.

it's only the criticism that you feel you have to defend about his career which leads you to try and discredit jones' now.

don't waste my time if you want to bull**** me

What about the other divisions he won world titles in?

You also didnt note that Michalczewski beat Rocchigiani the fighter who was wrongly stripped of his WBC title, so Dariusz had claim to that belt also

this is a boxing forum - just because you want to isolate a topic to suit you doesn't mean posters have to be a lemming and do it just so you can feel good about what you 'want to believe' about a fighter.

read my post again and try to answer what i challenged you to

What did you challenge me to?

I havent isolated a topic, the topic is Jones, you want to change that for some reason, possibly because the question was hard to answer. The thread starter page asks a question. You have skirted around the question, now thats nationalism, patriotism, bias and changed the subject to talk of a completely different fighter now that is having an agenda and shows that you are blinkered

do you remember the discussion we had that was in line with this a couple of weeks ago where i asked if magic johnson was playing ball in fiji and never came to the states and then everyone in fiji said he was the greatest ball player of his era how people would react to that?

it doesn't even matter if you did....but the point is that a great athlete who doesn't do his thing on the world stage... then it's only going to be his locals who think he's 'the cat's meow'.

    that's all you're doing here.

what makes boxing more ambiguous is all the ****ing 'world titles', all the ****ing 'world champions' someone 'beat' along the way don't mean **** unless magic johnson leaves fiji and proves his skills against the best......

He beat Bhop and then Hopkins dominated the division. It speaks for itself. Beating Toney at 168 was huge, but it hurts that he didnt fight other top SMWs. At HW he picked a "safe" Ruiz and beat him. But its still a great achievement due to size difference. Roy wasnt a champion at HW, but a legit beltholder - Lewis was champion but its a common konwledge.

Tbh I didnt know about Roccigianni being wrongly stripped, but I chkecked it and its look like you're right.
