    i hope it didnt do any permanent damage on montiel. would like to see him bounce back and win a title again.

    I dont think it was his hardest punch. It was a good punch, but he clipped him right behind the ear, which is why it had such a great effect. The punch itself was a little wide and not the best or most powerful ive seen from Nonito.

    The guy is an animal. Besides the power behind it, add to the fact the speed, then how he countered it over the right hand where Montiel did not see it coming. You have all the ingredients of a massive ko, I'm surprised Montiel did not lay there out cold for longer, although he was clearly out when he hit.

    Donaire throws the punch using the legs and hips and cocks and swings... impressive how he times it and lets it go with speed at this level of the game.

    Man, it was a killer hook. His one against Darchinyan was by far the better however.

    Watch the replay, it was a great, legal punch no question, but it was right behing his ear, not on the chin.

    HBO just played the fight again. Dont know how Montiel made it back to his feet. i think the ref could have stopped it right then, but even though he would have been justified there would still be people saying it was premature. Ref did a good job though basically just allowing Montiel one second to land a hail mary punch lol
