Witter on Premier

Any comments from Witter yet?

 

Maybe, I did think he could have tried something different against Alexander and at least swung for the rafters for 1 last round, but old age turns brave men into cowards, something to do with the decreased testosterone, either that or a lack of fighting spirit generally as he did prefer not to engage. His style was never built for longevity with his low hands and wide swinging punching and continual switching. You can't really hold a poor performance against an inactive 36yo, it just shows hes well and truly done more than anything

Disapointing career Witters, but he won a WBC title, beat several world champions (Harris, Ndou, Corley, Kotelnik) and had a fun KO run. Still it would have been great to see him get his shot around 2003-2005

 

Thing is around that time I think he could have really troubled Hatton but obviously we'll never know now.

Maybe when it all comes out in the wash there will be some plausible explanation for last night. Although I seem to remember that after the Zab debacle he went rather quiet (understandably).

 

He was green then but wasn't as bad against Zab as people make out, he boxed defensively and made Zab miss ALLOT, he probably took about 4rounds off 1 of the best versions of Zab who kept throwing combination after combination

 

He was rather good at that particular skill :yep
