Vittali boxed well in a fight he was expected to lose.He could not finish the job though.Lewis ready to be taken and probably should have retired before this fight.Lewis got the win,the stoppage was right and it should have happened a few rounds before it did.

Lewis beat Vitali so bad the doctor had to rescue him.

If that's the FACT, then the cut was caused by the cornrow headbutting done by Lewis at EVERY possible opportunity. Just prior to the OH right you claim caused the cut, Lewis got one of those HB's in.

Certainly Lewis' use of the HB throughout his career was well documented and understood by the fight fans who KNOW boxing. But that said, if I knew it, and ANY TRUE fight fan knows it, then Vitali should've known it, and got the hell out of the tight clinches he allowed Lewis to employ.

A rematch would've ended this conversation before it began, but we all know Lewis ran with his tail between his legs into retirement.

Lewis would've been 37 in a rematch later that year. Vitali is NOW 38 or 39 and taking any and all challenges. To say Lewis was past prime is bull****. He put extra weight on for that fight on purpose, to even the odds in the trenches. He was fit, and in shape for the fight with about 10 extra lbs of padding around his midsection.

So, according to Klit fans, the same cut was caused by a thumb, a hit and hold, Lewis' cornrows and a head-butt. The phrase 'clutching at straws' was invented for you people.

37 is old for any fighter. For someone like Lewis who has been involved in some top fights, its a fine time to retire.

I was going to post my opinion but quite frankly I am sick of this thread, it's been done to death. I am sick of arguing with ******ed, delusional Klitschko nuthuggers like Bremen and Zenek. It's pointless I would get more sense out of a ******.

I'm actually a big Vitali fan and have been ever since he raped Hide but I come off like a hater on this forum because of the sheer number of posters who can't face reality and shroud themselves in a cloak of denial.

This is the key punch that opened up what was just some redness and marking. An illegal shot. Vitali UD6, or at the very least an NC.

Who even cares how the cut came about. It's called boxing children and dirty punches, elbows, headbutts have been going on since the sport began. Whether the punch was legit or not, it's nothing compared to the way Lewis ended his fight with Grant. Now that was an illegal punch.

But guess what? Tyson often threw elbows, Holyfield is a legendary headbutter. Duran was not above throwing a low blow, accidentially or otherwise. Ali use to grab an opponent by the head and pull it down, more times than I can count, and the list goes on and on and on and on.
