He's not underrated imo.The only time he really gets mentioned on here is to take the **** out of asero after another ridiculous fanboy thread or comment about him annihilating older greats etc Don't understand why these guys can't just enjoy a fighter's career unfolding without the need to call him teh bestestest ever after every win.
Great win !!!!! Impressive !! I like Donaire a lot !! But let him prove himself a little more against the top fighters before start acting like he´s the Greatest.....
Donaire will yet prove to even the most skeptical that he's the real thing...I see snippets of SRR in him, in the way he can deliver a ko while on the back foot, and in the way he moves..a very very impressive fighter.
Donaire is one of the most impressive looking young fighters i've seen in some time. Haven't seen last nights fight, but I heard he looked damn good.
I don't agree with you often RC so thought I'd quote you the time I do Lets hope his career isn't stalled with politics
Looked deadly last night, fast, gracefull and overpowering (no homo). Would like to see him matched against a top class, slick fighter in the future though. Nishioka would be a testing matchup.
I've got to say, I want him to be the number one p4p in the world, and soon i'm going to want to take Pac and Floyd off that pedestal, because they're doing **** all to enhance their standings. P4P is a 'current form' issue, so that's not to say i don't want to celebrate Pacquiao and Mayweather, but they've annoyed the life out of me with either their choice of fights or activity levels. Donaire is brilliant and this was a fine win, he's going to move up, he just has done, and these other two can't keep him out for long. Sergio Martinez stands in his way though.
Or anything else too for that matter PP...like injuries, etc., I like this kid and want him to be #1 p4p like Teeto was saying.
I don't want him to move up if he's too small to move up and ruin his career, not every fighter is cut out for moving up and being multi-weight champs, that doesn't make them worse P4P it just means they haven't got the right body to carry the weight. Basically he doesn't need to move up to FW too fast to face monster FWs like Gamboa unless hes struggling with 118, which I doubt I rate him over Martinez anyway, he's just better and he is proving it against similar comp imo
