    I think he retired after Prizefighter.

    The four years he was out the game, harmed his career for sure. But he also associated with the wrong people, and the side effects of those associations didnt help him in the long run.

    I remember reading McGuigan in the mirror a couple of years ago & he was banging on about a young HW junior ABA champ from the north-east.
    I think he had Iraqi/Iranian parents but Ive seen nothing since.

    Any ideas?

    del bryan.vastly underrated stylist who was sent in to battle against some big domestic names during the '80's,giving them all fits.with more careful management(ie better connections)could surely have picked up major honours.is he still involved in the game,does anyone know?
