I hold my hands up, I thought he was a hype job living off a lucky shot years ago.

But I gotta say, looking at his career now as a whole, he has fought enough opponents to take him seriously. Darch, conception, maldonado, sidorenko and now montiel. Still think he should have capitalised on the darch win by fighting mijares but what can you do?

I'm not going to talk about potential because I think it's limitless.

I wanna discuss his skill set. Has there been in recent times such a defensively gifted fighter with one punch knockout power? I was in shock. It is clear to say darch was no fluke.

In terms of skillset I think he's the best around today. His resume isn't deep enough yet to put him number 1, but he's definitely up there.

Amazing stuff from him last night.

Great fighter, hope he continues to do big things, but he is way to high on the p4p list.

    Nope not at all.

All the Mexicans in Oxnard where I work were betting some of the Filipinos coworkers.

And I told them.....BAD BET! Montiel is not only older but he is a lot smaller, and has the wrong style when you take into account his physical dimensions to beat Donaire.

But you know Mexicans they ROOT with their HEART and NOT their BRAIN.

Great talent, love his style, that left-hook is beautiful....but I wanna see how he'd do against guys that are of similar size to him. The dude is ****ing huge for his weight.

I was surprised at how Kellerman was talking about a fight with Pacquiao :patsch

They are pretty much 30 pounds apart!

I thought i was the only one who noticed this. Montiel fight night weight was heavier than donaire yet it was montiel who looked like the small man in there.

Even Stevie Wonder could see his skill level. I was saying for years in terms of skill he's one of the best. And you need to watch the Darchinyan fight again. Donaire dominated from start to finish.

I love how people are jumping on his dick after years of calling him a hype job.

P.s he is not defensively gifted at all!!

Nope, I knew it'd end in a KO just due their styles. Donaire will keep improving and he'll be top 3 p4p soon.

If memory serves me correctly, i had a back and forth with you about 2-3 years ago about how talented he was. So i'm glad people (you included) are finally opening their eyes.

a hype job are you crazy.dog you can watch is last 3 fights and see he cant be ****ed with if you know boxing.from the way he moves, holds his hands up, his speed and ring generalship he is great boxer.i just wish he was at 140 or higher he would be my guy.i love his boxing forget the speed and how strong he is.and he dont even remind me of floyd, he has is own style him that great to watch.only seen him fight 5x but i thought he was a beast then and still think so now.i cant see how anyone slept on him.thats like sleeping on mayweather or jones jr when there were hot on the scene.

Since the first time I saw him fight I knew this guy was special. It seems he really turned it on last night and looked hungry to take Montiel's belts. Last time was that motivated was against Darchinyan imo.
