As for that 'robbery clause' in the wager.....

There will never be a SD/MD that isnt considered a robbery on ESB by some.... if you guys are going to do that, I suggest (like what BigB was saying) that the decider be...

*So lets say Agbeko vs Mares ends and theres threads popping up of robbery (which there will be if its close) and one of you feel the other guy should have won, then the decider will be that one of you will make a thread with a poll (public) asking ESB who won, and like what has been mentioned earlier, if 70% say the fight is a robbery after a certain amount of days or whatnot, then the wager can be nulled.

The robbery clause would only be in effect when brought up and agreed to by both parties, and will not work on actual wins and losses on our fight records.

I'm not sure 70% would say Huck-Lebedev was a robbery whereas 70% did see Lebedev winning, it's not the same thing!

My point is: if 70% thinks one guy won but the judges had the other, we should consider it a robbery therefore bets are off.

Just for future reference I won't be taking part in any robbery insurance.

Most robberies aren't really robberies. For instance I think froch beat kessler but I wouldn't call it a robbery.

As well as that you have to consider the "esb factor" a lot of posters on here won't watch a fight yet still offer up a vote. Combine that with the bias that goes on and you have an unfair poll. For example pac-marquez 2. The more recent the poll the more cries of robbery I hear. I'm sure some people do believe marquez won, but is their opinion more valid than the judges who do it for a living? No.

I'm not against the insurance, I just feel it detracts from the purity of the sport and won't be utilising it.

I think I want to add a post called the spotlight or something to that effect.... and it eather highlights a past fight or maybe a fighter, be it up and coming or established or whatever, or maybe even a poster (could highlight some of their best picks, highest ranking, all time ranking, ect) (every month it could change, from fighter, to fight, to poster, ect) and I post that with the rankings every time.... I dont know Ill have to think about it but idk, not sure if that would be something worthwhile or not... just something ive been kinda thinking about recently, would help me get to know some fighters better, or show some love to some past classics, and give some recognition to some of our posters sometimes too :think

    thats dumb.

this is boxing. boxing is just as much political as it is a sport. people should think that b4 they make thier predictions.

for example i think Sosnowski is going beat Dimitrenko by a pretty easy points spread, but due to the fact its in Germany im picking Dimitrenko by MD.

its just how the sport works.
