Is there anyone at 118 that can hang with Donaire?

Peterson's contract with Top Rank was over at that point, the deal was made through Peterson's long time promoter (more recently co-promoter) Prize Fight Promotions.

I'd hardly call fighters like Cermeno and Monshipour ''routine'' defences. Moreno seems disinterested lately, I'm not sure if he'd be willing to take a Donaire fight straight away.

Pretty sure Moreno would be willing his recent fights have been in South America so he would take a major payrise and set himself up for life.....and i reckon he would fancy it.

I'm not saying they aren't good fighters, for the most part his opponents have been tough decent fighters but they weren't elite fighters and I am sure they didn't pay huge money.

Before the last Cermeno fight, he was taking 5 fights a year going all over the world, now for what ever reason he is barely fighting. He is turning up late for training camps and his fights keep getting postponed, I take those as tell tell signs that he is bored. He needs a real elite fighter to get him interested, I think if he can get through the Parra fight, if he were to be offered the Donaire fight for let's say $100-150,000 he would bite their hand off.

He's apparently been in talks with other top bantams in the last while and nothing's happened.

Peterson was never removed from their website. Did he do the fight then sign with Top Rank again?

Royalt i dont think its a case of him being bored, more distracted.

Its quite typical of south american fighters once they win a world title and start earning good money (for there country). They become a national celeb which comes with booze, girls and cuban cigars.

I would say it is both, he is distracted thanks to his success and new found wealth and fame but at the moment it looks like he can't get himself motivated at the thought of defending his title against another uninspiring challenge, there is a reason his title defense's keep getting delayed and he has been so inactive.
