How do you guys see this fight playing out ? who do you see winning ? Did you see kellerman last night giving martinez props , saying hes a beast who keeps beating beasts and had him at #3p4p , just seems like HBO is now ready to back him a little more , :think
i really dont know how it plays out but i envision Martinez winning. Anything can happen tho. For some reason I'm still shocked this fight was even made. With all the ducking of today im surprised the guys are fighting each other. Anyway I just see Martinez movement giving Dzinziruk problems...
kinda like Spinks Taylor but more exciting SD puts on a great counter punching display and makes it tough and frustrating for SM but loses a decision to a more aggressive harder hitting foe
what do you think about the size and strength of each man , martinez is near 168 or so now if not bigger , as we have seen in the williams fight he has gotten stronger and kept his speed ,really grown into the weight , dzin fights at 154 do you see a mismatch?
i dont think weight will have that much effect on the fight but stylistically martinez gives dzinziruk problems...UNLESS of course Dz lands his jab and figures out martinez's timing. he time him like pavlik did in the middle round of their fight..and when sergio steps in...Dz should take a half step back and jab
i just checked the reach of both men , sergio has a 76 inch reach dzinziruk has a 68 inch reach , thats 8 inch diff in reach , now i feel sergio will win in every dept
Expect a LOT of leather thrown. Sergei doesn't hit hard though, so Martinez will win in a VERY entertaining fight that will go the distance because Sergei doesn't know how to fall to the canvas either.
Please God, don't say that. Once they start "backing" him, they'll back him into a corner or cruddy fights and start dictating his direction like they did Taylor and Pavlik...please never say that again!!! I don't want to see Sergio jumping two weight classes to get schooled, or fight airtight defensive fighters he'll never look good fighting. Ross Greenburg's judgment to overspend on names without considering the quality of the match-up sucks on historical levels.
For every Donaire-Montiel, they put on two Bradley-Alexanders. Showtime and ESPN2 actually seem to put on badass fights on a more regular basis on smaller budgets.
True words above. As for Martinez vs Dzinziruk...2 southpaws going at it, when was the last time anyone saw 2 southpaws in a GOOD fight? atsch
no no , i just meant i hope they wont try to strait up rob him again(cintron) or have that redicoulous one sided commentary like pw2 i feel you though brother , i also have those same concerns
Martinez falls asleep after becoming bored at watching dzinziruk only throw jabs for the entire fight
