:rofl It's just amazing how Montiel managed to stand up from that devastating punch... Tho I'm not accusing Montiel of anything...
When you've been a boxing fan as long as I have (31 years now) you've seen too much not to question things, particularly boxing commsions who are by fact as corrupt as they come in any sport. ......even though I know that those who run the sport are corrupt to the the very core, I dont watch boxing for them....... I enjoy the matchups, and even the most corrupt decisions wont deter me from enjoying watching the events. Speaking of traffic enforcer and swirving, a few weeks ago late at night, I was driving down a street with very little traffic and was stopped by a police patrol car officer who upon reaching my window let me know that he had stopped me because he had observed me from over a block away that I had swirved from the right lane I was in, partially to the left and then back to the right lane. ......I then informed the officer, "yes I did that, but it was because I observed someone parked at the curb quickly open his car door and hopping out. I swirved to the left knowing there was'nt any traffic in that lane just to be on the safe side and not hit that guy coming out of his car." ......the officer nodded and said, "thats good enough for me, you're good to go.....have a nice evening." Hell, as a citizen who is concerned for safety, I was'nt bothered by the officer stopping me. I gave the officer and honest and logical explanation and we were both on our way. The officer btw was right in stopping me when he observed a car ahead swirving. By stopping me, he may have stopped what could have been a drunk driver. No harm no foul that it turned out the driver was'nt drunk. The same with this here thread and my observing a dent I've never seen on a fighter before. Not accusing Donaire but just bringing it up to get others feedback to see if boxing fans in this forum have ever seen that type of dent left on a fighters face after a punch. Its silly that the Pinoy fans in this forum have gone bonkers over a simple question to the forum, "have any of you seen a dent like that left from a punch?" ......and all hell breaks loose in accusations of hating.atsch
I feel sorry for Montiel man. I like the guy.I was actually a FAN Fernando.Sad it had to happen to him. This is BOXING it's a Brutal sport.
This is the first time I've seen a dent like that of Montiel after a punch... but I'm not surprised it made a dent... It was a hard powerful brutal devastating punch... I was surprised more how Montiel managed to get up after receiving that punch, after the twitching and convulsions... Good that Montiel is alright... This content is protected
i rewatched it in slomo, if only not for montiel strained neck muscles i really thought his head was about to fly off like a baseball being hit for a home run.
looking at the KO again, the referee showed terrible judgement not stopping the fight, he shouldn't ref again
I'm feeling great that Nonito won, but at the same time, feeling sad for Montiel that it had to end that way for him. I'm getting chills everytime I watch the KD. Anyone got news about Montiel? Did he suffer any injury or something?
He suffered a hairline fracture and might not need a surgery. That's some good news after that brutal punch he received.
so, lets say the wraps were illegal, or borderline illegal... how much of the damage would you attribute to the wraps and how much would you attribute to the apparent strength of the punch? given that we have a pretty good view of it in the various vids and gifs. would that mean that, were the wraps done normally, it's simply not possible for that bone to be broken?
When Prime Roy Jones Jr broke Virgil Hills rib everyone thought his gloves had to be loaded with all kinds of cement. The simple fact is, some people just have super human capability and Donaire is one of those people. He's like Roy Jones used to be.
