I doubt it. Dazzling Darren will want to fight a nobody for a vacant title or something like that

Barker vs Smith who wins....or is it even worth asking?

Barker vs Domenico Spada purse bids due Feb 28th. Spada is ranked No.7 by the WBC who have Barker at No.5 so could be made into an eliminator. Spada has only lost to guys above European level.

It is worth asking rob because each fighter has struggled with the respective styles in the past so it's a tough fight for both men really.
If this spada fellow is what you say he is then it's a proper step up in class for barker. Just seems to me he could do with a tune up first.

Your accusing him of fighting dud opposition and then call for him to have a tune up??

When has Barker struggled with someone of Smiths style? The only fight he has ever struggled in was Belgecam and he is noting like Smith, and that wasn't down to style.

It's down to pressure and barker hasn't coped well with that IMO.

Im saying about a tune up due to inactivity because if injury. I'm not trying to say anything inflammatory just myopinion.
A fight between him and smith is hard to call IMO. It's a hard one for both of them

the pressure needs to be effective....and I havent seen signs of DB struggling with it.

Personally i would like to see Smith Murray at middle i think Smith would win comfortably i dont see why people are fussing over Murray.

Then maybe Smith could look towards a fight with Barker for the European both are good scraps imo

Yeh if Barker vacates Smith vs Murray should be orderd by the BBBofC should Smith win his comeback fight. Literally nobody else at the weight ready. Perhaps Quigley who has moved down to.

Murray is a very athletic fighter. They tend to do very well in early fights until they step up in class. Larry O on saturday a perfect example.

Murray is massive for the weight but doesnt have the ko power and it seems to me that he does everything well but nothing great. The same could be said of Smith i suppose but he has more ring smarts and does occasionally come out with some classy moves.

The Barker fight would depend on if SMith was able to apply the pressure to make Barker uncomfortable. Barkers defence isnt all that and if Smith can rough him up cut the ring off then he could make a very good argument of it

Smith wasn't able to do that agaisnt DeGale. Barker will just jab his face off for 12 rounds. If a fighter isn't smart with Barker they end up like McDermott.

Don't forget there is a Prizefighter soon, that will thrust somebody into the picture.

Not saying it's deserved, but it's inevitable.

    Could even be Reid?

Edit: Just remembered that PF is at 168, so maybe not relevant.
