The respect Fernando Montiel Thread.

Monitel = beast

Unfortunately for his fanbase which was pretty arrogant and talking mad trash, I accurately predicted this. Not quite so early but in the same fashion.

I just can't help but draw the comparisons between Williams and Montiel. thinking about how they'll recover is interesting...

 

I've repeatedly given props to Montiel on different threads. The guy is a typical mexican warrior with a big fighting heart.

There is nothing to dislike on the guy. A TRUE professional in and out of the ring.

 

prob the best way to respect Montiel is to NOT MAKE a ****ing sympathy thread for him after a loss....

Just trying to keep it real....

it was kind of funny when he was twitching but when he got up..i was like...whoa!!!!

 

i like mexican boxers, they are true warriors, especially this guy, he's a nice guy too.

 

In the build up to the fight Montiel has been nothing but class. In the ring he showed himself to be a true warrior. He has made me a fan!

 

montiel is still a beast and has a tremendously big heart. love watching his fights win or lose.

 

mad respect for montiel. a bit hard to see him be ko'd like that.

 

I don't know what gobsmacked is but I was also gobsmacked.

Montiel is definitely the real deal.

May be this fight is like Montiel passed the torch to Donaire as one of great lighter weight boxers.

After watching the fight, I feel some　nostalgia.

 

Montiel is definitely a fighter that deserves respect. I know some people talked some **** about him being overrated and whatnot after he lost, but anyone that follows the sport knows Montiel is a true, respected champion and has been for a while.

 

Massive respect to Montiel, a great champion who ran into a steam-train on Saturday. How Montiel got up from that shot I don't know.
