Can see it being close myself , in all fairness Kenny looked in top form last week and Ward still needs to grow into the weight which he will in the next year I would think as he is small height wise for 81 kgs .

Guys brabazon has already won a senior crown he followed that up by winning a 4 nations gold and boxed with andy Lee and Kenny egan in a 4 nations team that took on cuba so his pedigree is not to be dismissed alot of people simply never heard of him and though he was some new comer. It did surprise me he beat jjj (albeit with some terrible refereeing for the public warning which decided the fight)after that long out but i certainly wasnt shocked. The lad from St Pauls beating Mc Loughlin for me was the biggest upset of the championship.
Whilst im on i think Egan will handle young Ward with ease on friday night.

For me its McDonaghs win over Donovan although Donovan was hard done by imo McDonagh boxed very clever for a 17 year old and will be a great fighter for the future, think Joyce will win easy this week though as he is completeley different style to Donovan and will be whinging in them body shots which will hurt McDonagh.

    20% chance in my estimation.

Dont think khan will stop him. So should get your moneys worth.

But in the end, i see Khan winning by UD.

But wouldn't it be amazing if Paul caught him with a beauty and dropped him...

With ticketmaster you normally get them a couple of weeks before the fight I thought both would work the same way.

    PADDY POWER PRESS RELEASE

KING KENNY TIPPED TO TAKE 11TH CONSECUTIVE TITLE

(21 February 2011) Paddy Power have made Olympic Silver medalist Kenneth Egan their red-hot 1/5 favourite to be crowned All Ireland Senior Champion for a record breaking eleventh year in row.

The Clondalkin southpaw will meet Moate man Joe Ward, who is twelve year’s his junior, in the Light heavy-weight final at The National Stadium in Dublin on Friday night. Despite securing an 8-2 victory in last Saturday’s semi final against Davey Joe Joyce from Athy, Ward will need to pull out all the stops to pull off a win against the unstoppable Egan.

Paddy Power said: “If you could get points for talking the talk then Ward would definitely be racking them up but come Friday night he’ll have walk the walk and box very clever if he wants to beat King Kenny.”

    Match Betting
    1/5 Kenneth Egan
    3/1 Joe Ward

    Ends
