Donaire-Gamboa seems unlikely considering the size difference. By the time Donaire is ready to up to 126, Gamboa himself might be ready to move up in weight.

And in my best estimation, Rigondeaux-Donaire would likely be a dud of a fight considering the styles clash and so I have little interest in seeing it get made.

People dislike Rigo and think less of him because perceived as a boring fighter. But he's a tricky customer, and I don't Donaire would have that much of an easy time with him.

 

Rigondeaux has skill but hes only good for 5-6 rounds.All donaire after the 6th round if it gets passed 6.

Well, I wouldn't call him a bum, even though he has all that vast amateur experience he still only has 7 professional fights. It's a different world. But if Nonito assimilated to 122 easily (which I don't see why not)....after 7 pro fights it'd be way too soon for Guillermo.

 

Rigo will get destroyed. He doesn't have a chin and disengages when he hits adversity. I think Rigo needs a few more years in the pros to see if his style and more importantly his Boxing chops evolve and improve. I am a HUGE Rigo fan, but you have to call it like you see it.

Gamboa? If Nonito is smart? Tough fight for Nonito. Not sure, but I think that Nonito is a bit sharper and can crack his chin. The size might make the difference though for Gamboa.

Both are fights I would love to see.

 

Gamboa is a dangerous fight for Nonito which I think needs a couple more fights in the heavier weights before facing the elite of the division. However, Gamboa is game and loves to go toe to toe and exchange this is where I see that left hook catching and dispatching Gamboa. But can go either way if he catches Nonito he might go night night as well. I cant wait for this fight next year.

 

BW to FW is a big leap. I wouldn't bank on Donaire carrying the same power at 126. He might carry it up, but if he doesn't he'd be a sitting duck for Gamboa or JML.

 

True but I think he is too big for 118-122 he's listed at 5'6 with a long frame so he can fill out. I remember when he was interviewing and mentioned fighting welters/middle weights and dropping them in sparring when trying out for the contender show. The guy isnt small for a featherweight. Remember Gamboa is 5.5" and JaunMa is 5.7" so its a matter of filling out at that weight.
