I have been waiting for my boy to speak after what happened. I can't wait to hear his plans to return, after his speedy recovery....

    WAR MONTIEL!

I hope it doesn't affect his confidence too badly

    Respect to Montiel.

I think his best days are behind him but he is still elite enough to return and win a title or two.

Few fighters have ever been hurt like that; it was a massive hit.

Anyway, bring on Montiel-Hasegawa II at 126lbs next year! (assuming Hasegawa gets by Jhonny and another defense or two in the meantime).

Montiel is a top bloke, I hope he can recover from the loss.

Anyone at bantam that gets hit with that left hook is going to sleep.

    WAR Montiel.

those type of knockouts never help a fighter. Thomas Hearns and Roy Jones never were the same after being stopped like that, however they are the rare ones who still beat good guys after being stopped badlly. Which shows their quality. But most guys do not recover that well. Terry Norris did. But most decline.

Well, Darchinyan received the same left hook (may not be as devastating) and he still went on to become a champion again. He still fighting top notch competition.
