just been reading some comments and posts ever since donaires big ko win on saturday, and right after the win comes ridiculous threads and posts like he is now superman, because of that win he is now going to be a 7 division world champ p4p number 1 in the future and will beat anybody from 118-126.

It happens way to often here on eastsideboxing after a fighters big win people go overboard. I am not hating at all i really like donaire he is exciting and has crazy skills, but if anyone here thinks for a second he can hang with gamboa or juanma then you are just crazy

ps:gamboa and juanma will probably be at 130 by the time donaire gets to 126

At the very least donaire has a punchers chance and skills to land that punch. Im one that question donaires chin. but juanma has that same question as well.

Well, we'd have to see how he'd assimilate to featherweight should he choose to go that route in the near future. If he assimilates without much consequence then he would be a tough match for either of them and both could be a tough match for him.

Gam's not all that great....He's got great talent but he's having a lot of trouble for a guy with his athletisim and gifts, shedding a list of bad AM habits. JML is a lot better from a technical standpoint and so is Nonito.

The real test here would be Nonito and Lopez.....Gam is only dangerous, so cats like Lopez and Nonito only have to worry if they get stupid and get caught by Gamboa's speed and power.

The other question is how well can Nonito move up in weight, carry his speed, power and not lose reflexes. It's not easy to move up in weight period. BUT....truly great fighters seem to have that quality about them that in a great career will see a 2 or 3 division champion. I think Nonito has what it takes to move up at least one more weight class without much problem and even 2 divisions if he's moving up in weight the right way and not rushing things.

Later on in his career it's definitely possible..His skillset is unreal.

But people are jumping on his dick WAY too much already

Well now it doesn't seems like he would be able to beat jml or gamboa but give it sometime. If he can climb up and bring his power with him then he could have a chance.

Back in late 2007 and early 2008 nobody thought pac would be able to beat the likes of cotto-margarito and delahoya but look what happen.

Let him clear out his division first... then start talking about higher weights

And he seems so likable and well educated, but a lot of his fans are really blind, they think Gamboa and Lopez are the same thing that Darch and Montiel, just in speed and power Gamboa is light years ahead of anyone ND has fought, Juanma is a power hitter is not a doubt in my mind that this kid can really bang, Nonito has never feel that kind of power, I was watching his fight with Concepcion and I was not impress really, and remember that anyone could sneak a bomb and win a fight, real mastery is dominating your opponent from start to finish, Montiel got caught with a perfect punch that is about it, Donaire is not Superman.

Velfort, Pac has been fighting drained and damaged fighters, none of them has being the best on those divisions, actually 144, and 150 are not divisions, he did fought the best at 126-130, not at 135lbs, so please we all know what is going on, and now Mosley.

I do tend to agree that people are pretty high on Donaire right now and maybe overrated him... but I won't say it's impossible that in a few years he'll be beating top guys at 122 and 126... 4 years ago, If I made a post saying Pacquiao will move up in weight and beat the **** out of DLH, Cotto, Hatton , Clottey and Margarito... I would have been the laughing stock of ESB....

Just goes to show that sometimes it's hard to judge a fighter's true potential until he actually steps up and takes those challenges..

I will go so far to say that I don't see how any of the top guys around 118 can beat donaire.

Gamboa and Lopez both have crazy faults that have got them in trouble in the past. Donaire may have the smarts and ability to do so even further. Donaire is a special fighter.

Agbeko and Mares are really good, but I'll put my money on ND.

Gamboa and Lopez are special too, and he has his flaws too, just because he ko Montiel in one round it doesn't mean he is going to do it all the time, just look at the first fight Williams vs Martinez, it was a good fight fill with back and forth action, and the second fight we didn't expect what happened, but it did ke got caught and that's all she wrote, that can happens to anyone, it was Montiel turn.

the point is nobody thought pac could do it back in 2007-2008 and right now it's the same thing with donaire. He is too small for lopez-gamboa at this point but who knows in a couple of years if he can move up and carry his power. He might have a chance. He has the skills but can he carry his power up is the question.
