May not work as well in bigger cities Peter. Reckon the mayors etc in bigger cities would find ways of making them unwelcome too.

It's interesting how White Collar Boxing has caught on in some of the bigger cities though.

As far as Brophy not retiring goes - hey, the show must go on mate!

 

James Ellis of tent boxing fame is on the Wood v Mundine II undercard.

He's listed to fight Mostyn Niemman.

Looks like it's possible to make a name for yourself in the tent, as Brophy's main event fighter on the recent SBS documentary etc, and then fight in the pros afterall.

 

James has already had around 8 pro fights. James is a good fella with great skills but he's not going to hold Mostyn off him.

 

Agreed on all counts.

I saw him fight Costa Chondros at Dallas Brooks Hall a few years back.

But James hasn't fought in the pros for over 2 years - so in a way Brophy and his tent have provided him with a second chance at the pros.
