Fernando Montiel: I've Never Been Hurt Like That Before.

Yeah, its a tough thing to deal with. He will need to take a couple of easy fights to get some of his confidence back if he continues, but recovering all of his confidence is unlikely so late in his career. Hes has a great career though. He got got caught, it happens.

Montiel has a great supporting cast and most importantly, he's level headed, perhaps a few more fights at the next level and then coaching...he will have accomplish more than most of us can aspire to in a lifetime.

 

thats was a completly different punch from pac hatton.

Montiel done great getin up from that, but the puch was a check hook, to the side of his head.

Pacs on Hatton was a left over the top meeting Hattons chin, a elephant would have stayed down from that

I honestly thought the stoppage was 1 punch too soon. he did take 2 glancing punches after he got up and took them well. The third one he got his hands up to bloack and reacted as soon as the ref jumped in. I cant help but think what would have happened had the ref not stepped in.
