Which would have made him 13 years of age when he last lost. This is an incredible statistic and I think we could see this streak go on for quite sometime. Ward is a special talent and that statistic just goes to show his champion mentality. I personally hate his style, it's horrible to watch and I don't think he'll ever attain superstar status due to his style but he will go on to achieve greatness imo.
I have the same feelings. He's cut from the same cloth as Mayweather and Hopkins, and he's destined to be something special. He comes across as a real class act too.

He won't be able to stay in Oakland all the time. The final will definitely force him to fight at a neautral venue (maybe the Abraham fight too), and by the time he comes to facing Bute, or whoever, they'll be knocking on Vegas' door. One of the main reasons why he's been staying in Oakland, is because he's a low-profiled fighter who wouldn't be able to draw a crowd anywhere else. Financially, it makes perfect sense for him to fight at home.
Don't let his last couple of fights fool you about his style. He can box from the outside and lead with the hook and use his feet with lighting quick in and outs.
Agreed, If Ward can fight without holding and butting illegally outside of Joakland, then it would prove alot. Another of the main reasons for Ward to stay in Joakland is because he can get away with illegal tactics and not be warned whilst his opponents get cautioned
I'll believe it when I see it, Abraham is the perfect fight to showcase this type of fighting you speak of. He'll use his feet to get in quickly alright but he won't be going out, he'll grab and wait for the ref to break them up. Rinse, cycle and repeat.
