The entire Roach controversy is over played as far as I am concerned. Both gyms were trash talking and saying some really harsh things. The only difference is that Rios and Margarito's were taped and it were played on youtube.

Acosta UD

The only way I see Rios winning is by KO and with that said Acosta is not going to sit their and trade punches he will be smart and fight to a UD.

 

I like Rios and think he's good for boxing big personality and fan friendly style. Acosta could give him fits and I might regret it but I'm picking Rios.

 

Rios will come at Acosta hard.
Acosta will use the outskirts of the ring like he did against Urbano.
Rios will touch up Acosta. Hopefully Acosta handles the pressure well like he does. Acosta will lose the opening rounds.
Has the fight goes on Acosta footwork and combos will start making a difference.

Acosta will go on to win a close UD or knockout Rios.
If Acosta doesn't handle Rios's pressure like he did with Urbano then Acosta will have a bad night.

I doubt Rios will KO Acosta though. If Acosta gets stopped it will be by TKO.

 

Acosta will weather an early storm and box his ears from round 5 onwards.

I like Acosta's style, very good counterpunching skills, speed, can fight going backwards, uses angles, puts his punches together, and he can crack. Who ever wants it more will win. If Rios didn't have Garcia as a trainer he'd be toast. Acosta will have to have his best night to win and I hope he upsets Rios even though Acosta is the champ. Acosta reminds me abit of Adrian Peterson, but with more smarts and about the same power. Rios is one dimensional, but he is very good at what he does, besides talking smack.
