I dont think its completely off the board. I think its still there. Im in the gym getting ready for it. Im just waiting for a better offer of money for it. Beat John Murray, show them Im back, and then Katsidis and then a world title fight.
quite conflicting with the 'mitchell might retire cos the offer is so bad' story. seems like hes given up on that bargaining technique and now going for a softly softly approach.
The Mitchell may retire story was actually from warrens side saying "if you dont take the fight you will have to retire as you have a 5 fight deal with us"
Like an alcoholic he's in denial. He could of had perfect camp he'd still get beat. Man against Boy that night.
After his abysmal performance (and poor preparation) against Katsidis he should just shut up and take the opportunity to fight Murray to show that he is back to his best. If he is expecting anything like the same money as his last fight he is kidding himself
his performance against katsidis wasnt as bad as people are saying - its not like he threw it away. he fell way below peoples' expectations but thats only cos he was built up so much in the hype to the fight. one win over prescott does not a world class fighter make.
He got one big payday for a fight in which he ended up getting beaten handily. Who the **** does he think he is asking for more than Warren offered him. Get back in the ring Mitchell and shut the **** up.
You are a ****in spastic. I never said he should fight for free. He cant seriously demand the type of money he got for the Katsidis fight. Ya ****in clown.
£30k is a reasonable offer, a tempter if you like. Warren won't be short of takers for that price to fight Murray on an undercard. That's what Mitchell is after all - an undercard fighter. Marquez will be vacating at 135 anyway soon so don't be surprised to see John next in line. Hopefully he is, and hopefully Frank gets Katsidis over again :happy
No he shouldn't. He's still got a lot to give imo. He was rushed too quickly from British to world class level. He's got the world stage experience now and should be stronger for it. The Katsidis defeat wasn't career ending, anyone that thinks it was is a muppet.
His experience, his skills, his physical attributes, they are all useless if a fighter doesn't have the mental attributes to utilise them. He doesn't have the focus required.
but he will be short of punters paying £60 a ticket in Wembley.:good theres a difference between undercard and chief support.
I agree he wont be able to box Murray like Prescott, Murray will pressure him and his much stronger, Mitchell will tire between rds7-9 and be stopped.
i don't think Murray is anything special. an on his game Mitchell is far far better than anyone Murray has ever faced lets not forget that.
