You are some kind of expert, Gamboa is way faster than Nonito and hit harderst too, that is his only hope a punch like the one he landed on Montiel, the thing is Gamboa is not Montiel, he is way better and bigger than him. I think is time for him to move up in weight and stop fighting those midgets.

Im a hardcore Donaire fan and i agree with the TS. This scientific sport has weight class for a reason and not every other boxer (even a co-filipino) can pull a Pacquiao (more than 3-4 weight class champ). Donaire started boxing a bit late, Pac is a bit of a freak plus started pro at 16 (105 lbs.).

What i prefer Donaire's career would be is: conquer or be a lineal champ at 118 for a year more, jump to his in my opnion his natural weight of 122 when he (or right before) he turns 30, stay there for 2 years (get a major belt and defend it atleast 3x), then do his retirement fights at 126. By that time, Juanma is probably already at 135 or even 140.

 

What is all this crap about moving up right after a career defining fight? Sounds like jealousy from Void and his fans. Donaire will knock Lopez out as well as Gamboa, but later..........

We need threads of who donaire cant beat, it seems that after a big fight people on ESB over react. The kid is good and he was going to win this fight no matter what because he looked bigger and quicker from round 1. But this was just a one punch KO where he caught montiel after throwing a right hand. Everybody around boxing knows that's the worst time to get caught when you have your arm extended.

Montiel looked small and over matched against donaire, i know is after the fact but montiel went up in weight one time too many. Against juanma donaire wont have a size advantage and against gamboa he wont have a speed advantage. Who knows he might beat both but lets not crown him the GOAT after one fight.
