Why does a loss so often lead to a chnage of weight class? Was it the Ola fight when he changed his body shape and looked awful?
Is this some kind of sick joke? The guy has no punch resistance, none. He shouldn't even be sanctioned. Didn't Augie Sanchez get banned from boxing for having a Glass Jaw and getting brutally knocked out too many times? Same should happen with Enzo. Disaster waiting to happen.
ouldnt say p4p hes ahead of many of them so boiling down and doing **** knows what to his body in the process this strikes me as a dissgusting comment ......sheeeeiiiiiiittttttt
As strange as it sounds I actually think Enzo would do better to go up to Heavy than to go down to Light Heavy. At his age and this stage of his career, cutting 25 lbs just doesn't make sense. Hell do MMA instead if he wants but this is just mental. The majority of his career is a lie anyway. It's not like he was once brilliant and is trying to get back there. He was well protected before being thrown in the deep end with shark after shark. I like Enzo a lot and wish him all the best and I'm sure he's keen to prove us wrong but he needs to seriously consider a life outside of boxing.
this could be very dangerous for enzo the older you get your meant to put weight on not lose it draining your body the guy should hang them up for him and his families sake imho
Why cant he get a strength and conditioning guy on board and build himself into a much stronger cruiser, which in turn will prob help his punch resistence?? He has a massive frame. He is far bigger than Bellew who himself struggles at 175lbs. Boiling down is never the answer imo, Hope i'm wrong and Enzo has an excellent run at Light Heavy, fingers crossed
Agreed, putting him in with hard-hitting heavies is the way forward. If he keeps taking these knockout blows he may train his chin to just ignore them.
Thing is NEITHER option makes sense. Going up clearly doesnt as he cant take a Cruiserweight shot let alone a heavyweight one (Enzo's not exactly elusive a fighter either...) and losing so much weight will only worsen his punch resistence at lhw its a no win and a bad decision for me. Scary thing is he could go out and spark out a decent domestic/european level fighter like he did against Kotbolay but this just delays the almost inevitable that he'll get knocked out again. I, like all boxing fans, appreciate the aesthetic beauty of a good KO like Donaire's at the weekend (Montiels a ****ing warrior for standing up) or Sergio's but there was nothing pleasing in the beating Enzo got from Lebedev or Frenkel he's done
Not sure about this one, I definitely think Enzo is finished as a cruiserweight, he's took small for heavyweight as he often weighed in well under the crusierweight limit for fights so he would get completely destroyed up at heavyweight. Therefore his only option to carry on would be at LHW, if he can make the weight well without damaging himself then fair play, he could definitley win Brit/Comm/Euro titles and win a Lonsdale belt outright given that LHW isn't too hot domestically given Bellew's form of late and the fact McIntosh (who I like but is limited) is Euro champ. I think if Enzo went on to unify the domestic titles at LHW he can consider that he's acheived all he can do, I don't think he has any hope on the world stage at LHW...unless he goes on to be amazing in his fights at the new weight.
