you think every american is a boxing fan willing to pay $50 for a fight. dont be dumb, 1 million ppvs means .033% of americans paid for it. i showed you the difference between the exposure to america that floyd and pac are geting and its ridiculous to even try and compare. one doesnt have enough time to appear on all the places hes wanted and the other has to go to ustream to even get heard. wipe the tears from your eyes and face the truth, only a handfull of knuckleheads want to know about floyd outside the ring.

The logic here makes no sense.

And after all that 'exposure', the PPV numbers reflect that more people are willing to PAY to see one of these guys perform the thing that actually made them famous: fighting.

    Money talks, bullsh!t walks.

im not surprised it doesnt make any sense to you. im sure it doesnt make sense to pimp c, leon, michigan warrior, baldhead slick, president and all the various alts and hangers on. the people that buy the ppvs are mostly boxing fans already but they arent the only ones who make a personality a star. if the nba finals cost $50 to watch live, i wouldnt pay for it. i would still buy a kobe jersey, though, or watch him on leno. so i am still contributing to making him a star.
a better indication of who is bigger is the number of people who watch the fight after the ppv. go onto 10starmovies or utube and see how many views manny fights get in comparison to floyd fights or how many rentals their fight dvd gets. now you are talking about real numbers in relation to actual across the board popularity.

You took the words out of my mouth. America has already embrace Pacquiao. 95% of non black americans want him to beat FMW.

So in other words, you'll spend 50 bucks on a Kobe jersey, or waste away 15 minutes watching him yuk it up with Jay Leno, but you won't spend a DIME to watch him do the one thing that is the only reason you know his name: play basketball.

The irony is that this actually only strengthens the point made by the so called '*****s': that a huge portion of Pac fans don't care (or know sh!t) about boxing. They only care about what their hero does.

Now this wouldn't be a problem, except those same hordes of fans show up on boxing sites wasting bandwidth with their hero worship.

i dont have to spend a dime to watch him play basketball even if it cost $50 to watch him live. it doesnt mean im not a fan, i can still watch him on leno and wear his jersey for years to come.
there is no irony in my statement (learn the actual definition). the ***** jacket fits you much better than the ******* jacket fits me. ive been watching boxing as my favorite sport since the 70s so talk about stuff you know and not just about things you wish were true.

You call people '*****s', yet you're the one on here claiming that you'd rather put on a Kobe Bryant jersey then watch him play basketball.

Seriously, you'd rather PAY to walk around with another man's name on your back, then you would to actually watch them perform their craft, one for which they are acknowledged as one of the best to ever do it.

If you were a 10 year old, this would make sense. But as an allegedly grown azz man, that sounds suspect. :nono

That's just hero worship. Sad indeed. :-(

you refered to me as a ******* without knowing anything about me but typical of a *****, if you aint on floyds nuts, yous a *******.
i never claimed i would rather put on his jersey than watch him play. thats just you talkin bout what you wish was true again. i wouldnt pay $50 to watch him play live but i would watch it the next day for free just like many casual fans watch fights now.
hero worship is excusing everything a fighter does and ignoring all the evidence that says you are wrong and all because he shares the same profile as you. that jacket is tailor made for you and i aint pinoy.
